Music Reflection

This week's lesson is about different types and genres of music, like Rock, Pop, Rap, and the New Wave. I've learned that learning the history of the music we hear everyday is very important because not only does it gives us awareness and more appreciation to music and its' genres, but it also teaches us that different genres of music each have different backgrounds and origins of where they come from, and why it is popular in the present. It teaches me personally that music is a way of life, and all of the people in the world, nevertheless the different and diverse culture, ethnics and religions, should learn and understand how to respect it. Rock differs a lot from Pop music, so as with New Wave and other genres. I've also discovered that the types of music we think is that particular genre, is in fact not all that genre, like how rock is divided into numerous sub-genres like soft rock, slow rock, garage rock and many more, as I've heard, more than 200 sub-genres.

So in conclusion, this lesson has been really meaningful to me, and it can be really useful in the future time.
